1 – Practice when you have a short frontage
Does your plot have a short frontage to the street, limiting the surface area of your future home? L-shaped architecture solves the problem: a second section can be built at right angles to the first, along the length of the plot. You can double or even more the surface area of the part visible from the street.

The hollow formed by the corner of the two wings is the ideal place to set up a relaxation area such as a terrace, as it is sheltered from the wind and vis-à-vis. What's more, it's accessible from the main rooms, which increases the living area.
