When you think of Concarneau, the image of the entrance to the Ville Close immediately springs to mind. This Vauban fortress is home to cobbled pedestrian streets, traditional houses with restaurants, shops and craftsmen... The Ville Close is the tourist heart of Concarneau, but that's not the only asset of this pretty town in South Finistère.

Close to the nature

Concarneau is a seaside town with a history strongly linked to fishing. It lies in one of Brittany's most beautiful bays, with numerous beaches that are accessible from the town itself. Concarneau is also close to the countryside, for those who prefer peace and quiet, and is criss-crossed by numerous hiking trails, including coastal paths.

Concarneau, a town on a human scale

With a population of 20,000, Concarneau is the 3rd largest town in Finistère behind Brest and Quimper. It has a low population density (480 inhabitants/km2), so there is plenty of room for new residents.

Shopping streets make it possible to do essential shopping without a car, and shopping areas on the outskirts offer a wide choice of shops.

The town offers a wide range of sports and leisure facilities, as well as a cinema.

Listed as a seaside resort, a town of art and history and a Ville Fleurie, Concarneau is an ideal place to live!
